Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repulsed the attacks of the invaders in areas of more than 20 settlements.
As noted in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to take full control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, continues to focus on offensive operations in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky directions.
"Over the past 24 hours, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by invaders in areas of more than 20 settlements. Among them are Gryanikovka in the Kharkiv region; Nevskoye, Kremennaya, Belogorovka in the Luhansk region, Fedorovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Vodianoe, Pervomayskoye, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Vugledar and Prechistovka, Donetsk region," the General Staff reports.
It also fires at civilians, in particular, during the day the enemy launched 2 missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk region and 3 air strikes. “In addition, 68 enemy shelling from multiple launch rocket systems was recorded, in particular, at civilian targets in the Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
The threat of further Russian air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
The occupiers do not stop mortar and artillery shelling of the positions of our troops, as well as settlements near the line of contact in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
The General Staff reports that in the Kupyansk and Limansk directions, the enemy fired from tanks, mortars and artillery at more than 20 settlements.
In the Bakhmut direction, more than 25 settlements received mortar and artillery shelling, among them - Belogorovka, Vesele, Paraskovievka, Vasyukivka, Zaliznyanskoye, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Chasov Yar, Kleshcheevka, Kurdyumovka, Zheleznoe, New York of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka and Shakhtyorsk directions, 30 settlements fell under tank, mortar and artillery shelling, and in the Zaporozhye direction, more than 20 settlements were hit by fire.
The report says that the suburbs and the city of Kherson, as well as areas of more than 30 settlements, including Zolotaya Balka, Gavrilovka, Berislav, Vesele, Ingulets, Lvovoe, Tyaginka, Antonovka, Zimovnik, Belozerka, Dneprovskoye and Veletenskoye of the Kherson region suffered from enemy artillery fire .
