On Thursday, February 16, the Ukrainian side handed over to the Russian collaborator clergyman from the UOC-MP. This helped to return a hundred Ukrainian defenders from enemy captivity.

This was announced by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov on the air of the national telethon.

"Yesterday, in order to return our guys, at the request of that side and with their own consent, one collaborator, the so-called clergyman of the Moscow Patriarchate, was handed over, who helped the occupiers," leaked "various information, helped to hold the so-called pseudo-elections," he said.

According to Yusov, the Russian Federation gave a request for a collaborator, the traitor himself was only in favor, so Ukraine did not object, because it helped bring the Ukrainian defenders home.

"This work will continue," the GUR representative added.

According to the source of the UP, we are talking about the rector of the Holy Kazan parish of the Gorlovka diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the village of Yarovaya, Limansky community, Donetsk region, Nikolai Zirka.

The day before it became known that this church collaborator was sentenced to 7 years in prison with confiscation of property.
