"Even in war there are laws": SBU launched an investigation into the execution of a Ukrainian soldier

The Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings on the fact of the execution of an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner of war under Art. 438 part 2 of the Criminal Code - violation of the laws and customs of war.
Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin said on Facebook that the proceedings were registered by the Main Investigation Department of the SBU. Procedural guidance will be exercised by prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General.
“Even war has laws. There are norms of international law that the criminal Russian regime systematically neglects. But sooner or later, a crime will be punished. All those involved will be held accountable before the Law,” the prosecutor general summed up.
