The defense forces warned another attempt by the Russians to land a sabotage and reconnaissance group on the islands near Kherson.
As a result of the operation, seven Russian boats were destroyed, said the head of the joint coordinating press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, Captain 1st rank Natalya Gumenyuk on the air of the information telethon. According to her, these islands remain a "grey area".
“We destroyed their tuned fleet of seven boats. The enemy equipped them with outboard motors, equipped them with machine guns, strengthened the sides and tried to get to the islands in this way. This “action” of theirs was unsuccessful, because in three days the boats and personnel in the amount of about 20 people destroyed," Gumenyuk said.
She noted that the Russian invaders are constantly trying to land their sabotage and reconnaissance groups there, but to no avail.
