The Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, said that the partners had already delivered more than 98% of the promised combat vehicles to Ukraine. He is confident that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive equipment to launch a counteroffensive on time.
“We sat down with our Ukrainian colleagues, counted the amount of equipment they need for this offensive, and we collected this from our allies, who were very generous, especially in the matter of tanks and armored fighting vehicles. And we delivered all this to Ukraine, we have already delivered more than 98 percent of the combat vehicles, they are already there, "European Pravda" quotes Cavoli's statement during a hearing of the US House of Representatives Committee on Armed Forces.
He also expressed "strong confidence" that the necessary equipment was delivered to Ukraine, and announced the continuation of deliveries to support the activities of Ukrainian troops. According to Cavoli, the material support and training of the military, which were provided to Ukraine by international partners, was a huge and decisive component for the success of the Ukrainian military.
"During the winter, our coalition allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to generate the capabilities necessary to protect and recapture parts of the sovereign territory of Ukraine," General Cavoli stressed, adding that Ukraine is using the assistance provided well.
