The Security Service of Ukraine has identified the identity of three traitors involved in mass abuse of civilians in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.
According to the press center of the SBU, the attackers are the commander of one of the regiments of the terrorist organization "DPR" and two of his subordinates. It is noted that even before the start of a full-scale invasion, they voluntarily joined the ranks of the Russian invaders.
The special service informed that there the defendants were part of the occupation groups of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces, where after February 24 last year they participated in hostilities on the southern front.
“During the capture of part of the Nikolaev region, the commander of an enemy regiment was appointed a “military commandant” in one of the villages of the Bashtansky district. On his orders, the Russians abducted local residents and used numerous tortures on them. It is documented that the attackers illegally detained four residents of the village, among whom were former "Then, on the instructions of their commander, the invaders locked the victims in a cold utility room and cellar without access to fresh air. In the dungeons, people were severely beaten and kept for a long time in unsanitary conditions, without water and food," the report says.
The SBU noted that in this way the invaders tried to persuade the victims to cooperate and obtain information about the locations of the Defense Forces.
On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the three defendants of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code: Part 1 of Art. 111 ("high treason"); Part 7 Art. 111-1 ("collaboration activities"); Part 2 Art. 28, part 1, art. 438 ("violation of the laws and customs of war").
