The US Department of Defense specified the timing of the start of training of the Ukrainian military on M1A1 Abrams tanks: tentatively, training should begin as early as next week.
This forecast was voiced by Pentagon speaker Brigadier General Pat Ryder for Voice of America. We are talking about a ten-week training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at one of the training grounds in Germany.
In May, a group of 31 Abrams tanks was relocated there. Already this week, about 250 Ukrainian tankers will arrive in Germany to start training, which will be held under the guidance of American instructors.
Among the main tasks during the "acquaintance" with the machines: mastering the skills of control and maneuvering on tanks in conditions simulating combat operations, as well as briefing on the maintenance of the M1A1 Abrams.
