Today, about 90% of the destroyed Russian occupiers are the work of missile troops and artillery.
This was announced by the Head of the Main Directorate of Missile Forces and Artillery and Unmanned Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Sergei Baranov, Military Media Center reports.
He noted that progress is achieved through the training of personnel, the use of new software products, and the introduction of an automated fire control system.
“Thanks to Western high-precision missile and artillery systems, we have combined and created a long-range“ fire fist ”that hits so powerfully and accurately that the Russians are no longer able to conduct effective counter-battery combat with us,” Baranov shared the details.
He noted that Ukrainian gunners and missilemen are constantly adapting, coming up with new ways and methods of fire damage, improving weapons, ammunition, skills and abilities. "Artillery is a collective weapon," he said.
Baranov also noted that the gunner should know what the infantry needs to do better than she herself.
"Because it is we who are preparing proposals for the fire defeat of the enemy in such a way as not to hurt our own and ensure our common victory," the military man said.
