On the night of August 1, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with five Shahed kamikaze drones, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said, referring to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko.
"The morning began with important reports. Minister Klymenko - on the situation and attacks on the border areas and a night drone attack on Kharkov. The enemy attacked Kharkov with five Shaheds. All services at the impact sites are working," he said.
In addition, Zelensky was informed about the completion of work to eliminate the consequences of the shelling of Krivoy Rog and Kherson.
The President also listened to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny on the situation at the front, commanders Alexander Syrsky and Alexander Tarnavsky, as well as Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Oleshchuk on the details of the use of air defense.
There was also a closed report by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, Zelensky said.
