The terrorist group ISIS has announced the death of its leader Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurayshi in Syria. He has led the extremist organization since November last year.
According to The Associated Press, citing an ISIS report, it is not noted exactly when al-Quraishi was eliminated. The extremists only said that he died in clashes with an al-Qaeda-linked group in northwestern Syria.
Al-Quraishi was the fourth ISIS leader to be eliminated since the organization's founding. He was replaced by Hafs al-Hashemi al-Qurayshi.
