The Security Service of Ukraine detained an informant of the Russian special services, who, on the eve of the recent working trip of the President of Ukraine to the Mykolaiv region, was collecting intelligence about a planned visit to plan an attack on the region.
According to the SBU, the woman tried to establish the time and list of locations of the approximate route of the head of state in the region.
"However, the SBU officers worked ahead of the curve: they received information in advance about the intelligence and subversive activities of the defendant and took care of additional security measures during the visit," the agency said.
After the woman was exposed, the secret service continued to document her criminal activities in order to obtain new data about her Russian "curators" and the tasks received.
In particular, this made it possible to establish that the enemy informer had other goals. She was also ordered to detect the location of electronic warfare systems and ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Ochakov area.
According to the SBU, the invaders planned to use this information to prepare a new massive air strike on the Mykolaiv region.
Law enforcement officers detained the woman "on the hot" during an attempt to transfer intelligence to the invaders.
The attacker turned out to be a resident of Ochakov, who was a former saleswoman in a military shop on the territory of one of the military units in the region.
On the instructions of the Russians, she traveled around the territory of the region and filmed the locations of Ukrainian objects. In addition, she tried to obtain the necessary data through her own connections, in particular in social institutions in the region.
Now the investigators of the detainee reported a suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).
The woman was taken into custody and faces up to 12 years in prison. The SBU also did not rule out the possibility of additional qualification of her criminal actions.
The Office of the Prosecutor General clarified that the woman in the Telegram messenger corresponded with the administrator of one of the pro-Russian chats, which was created to collect intelligence, and already in this chat she disseminated information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military equipment and ammunition in the city of Ochakov.
