The German defense company Rheinmetall will hand over the Luna New Generation unmanned system to Ukraine by the end of the year.
According to Reuters, it consists of a ground control station with several drones, a launch catapult and military trucks.
It is noted that the LUNA NG system is the first German-made strike drone. Thus, a reconnaissance drone can carry up to eight multicopters with weapons. In flight, it features low acoustic, thermal and radar signatures.
"By carrying out reconnaissance, LUNA NG will help identify targets and deliver weapons to them," Rheinmetall said.
