The full-scale war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation continues, during the day the situation at the front has seriously changed - the number of military clashes has increased significantly, there were about 30 of them.
The Russian invaders in the Shakhtyorsk direction tried in vain to restore the lost position near the village of Urozhaynoye, Donetsk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Wednesday, August 16, in its morning report. According to him, in particular, opponents in the area of Urozhaynoye launched airstrikes, and also fired at this settlement from artillery.
"In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area south of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas southeast of Olshany and east of Petropavlovka, Kharkov region," the General Staff noted.
In the Maryinsky direction, the enemy continues to try to advance near Krasnogorovka and Maryinka, Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces hold back the invaders.
The General Staff emphasized that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 2023 continues: our defenders and defenders continue to move forward in the Berdyansk and Melitopol directions.
