Harvest liberated: the General Staff named three "hot" areas of counteroffensive
South of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military are entrenched on the achieved lines, heavy fighting continues there.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions and have some success.
As part of the offensive, Ukrainian troops liberated the village of Urozhainoe. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are consolidating themselves on the achieved lines, inflicting fire damage with artillery on the identified enemy targets and conducting counter-battery combat, said Andrei Kovalev, Speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the air of the telethon.
This was also confirmed by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar: "Urozhayne has been liberated. Our defenders are entrenched on the lines. Offensive operations continue."
In addition, in the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations south of the city of Bakhmut. There, the Ukrainian military are entrenched on the achieved lines. Heavy fighting continues in this direction.
At the same time, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired from aircraft at the territories in the areas of Vasyukovka, Kleschievka, Andreevka and Northern Donetsk region. As a result of enemy artillery shelling, more than 15 settlements were damaged, including Minkovka, Grigorovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Predtechino and Dilievka in the Donetsk region.
According to Kovalev, over the past day, the Russians also tried in vain to advance in the areas of Maryinka and Krasnogorovka. "The enemy puts up strong resistance, carries out the movement of units and troops. Actively uses reserves," he said.
Also, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Bakhmut directions. In particular, in the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled the attacks of the Russians in the area southeast of Olshanov and east of Petropavlovka.
