"Galushchenko informed about the restoration work at the Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities that suffered from massive Russian attacks during the last heating season, and noted the measures that are being taken to prepare the energy sector for next winter," the message says.
The Minister emphasized the importance of distributed generation in this process and thanked the American side for the provided gas turbine, which was installed to meet the needs of critical infrastructure. He noted that the need for further supply of gas turbines remains relevant.
During the meeting, Galushchenko and Lokhman discussed possible US support for a program to increase the production of transformers within Ukraine.
It is noted that Galushchenko thanked the American side for the assistance provided by the US State Department for coordinating Deputy Secretary of State Geoffrey Pyatt to ensure the proper functioning of the Ukrainian energy sector in a war.
