Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the President's Office, said this on the air of the telethon, Ukrinform reports citing liga.net.
The journalist asked Zhovkva to comment on the fact that India "dropped out" as a potential platform for a "peace summit" because Ukraine did not receive an invitation to the G20 meeting.
“It’s not as clear to me as it is to you that India has fallen out. You know, in diplomacy there is such a principle: never say never. We are working with the Indian side to attract Ukraine to participate in the G20 summit in one format or another. I will put three dots for now," Zhovkva said.
As reported, the 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will be held in New Delhi. The decision not to invite Ukraine to the summit in early June was also announced by Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar. Then the diplomat explained this by the fact that only member countries of the association should be present at the forum, Ukraine is not included in the G20.
According to the list published on the summit website, Russia is among the participants.
