The US Department of Defense has signed a contract with Raytheon Missiles and Defense for the purchase of medium-range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAM) for Ukraine.
"This contract provides for Raytheon's procurement of AMRAAM military weapons from various sources. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by November 29, 2024," the statement said.
As noted, the funds for this contract are allocated from the fund of the Security Assistance Initiative in Ukraine.
