The South Korean Foreign Minister, Pak Jin, expressed his concerns, stating, "Any agreement reached by North Korea regarding arms trade with Russia through a summit would be an extremely serious threat to security and peace on the Korean Peninsula." He further inquired about the possibility of imposing unilateral sanctions against both North Korea and Russia, emphasizing that "all possible measures are under consideration."
South Korea's History of Sanctions
It's worth noting that South Korea has a history of imposing unilateral sanctions against North Korea for its illegal nuclear, missile, and cyber activities. However, South Korea has only participated in international sanctions against Russia, primarily due to its invasion of Ukraine.

Pak emphasized that military cooperation, including arms trade, between North Korea and Russia constitutes a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions against Pyongyang. He issued a stern warning on behalf of the South Korean government, urging both countries not to engage in such actions.
