The construction of a direct railway connection with Mariupol, Volnovakha and Donetsk will enable the enemy to radically reduce its dependence on the Crimean Bridge railway connection. Advisor to the mayor of the city Pyotr Andryushchenko reported this on Telegram.
He noted that such construction is now no longer just talk. According to him, the occupiers began construction of a railway bridge near the village of Granitnoye across the Kalmius River. “If successful, this will make it possible to include the existing Mariupol-Aslanovo-Kalchik-Volnovakha branch into direct communication with Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don. In practice, this is not only a global solution to the issue of military and civil logistics, but also a radical reduction in dependence on railway traffic Crimean Bridge,” notes Andryushchenko.
At the same time, he recalled that the railway connection from Volnovakha to the west goes further through Rozovka-Melitopol to Crimea, and to the north to Donetsk.
