Kharkov is under attack - explosions occurred in the city center today, there is a victim. Speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat explained why the air raid alert in the regional center was announced after the explosions.
According to preliminary information, the enemy missiles were flying along a ballistic trajectory, the speaker said during the telethon. According to him, the enemy could have used a type of weapon whose deadly operation, unfortunately, cannot be detected in a timely manner.
“We must wait until they see the wreckage. Let’s first say that the missiles followed a ballistic trajectory... That is, an air raid alert is a threat to use ballistic weapons. But I emphasize that sometimes the enemy manages to do this covertly. And then the alarm comes along with explosions. There’s nothing you can do about it,” Ignat noted.
The speaker added that shells launched from rocket artillery also fly in a matter of seconds.
