Hamas said it was holding about 130 Israelis hostage, including senior army officials.

The death toll in Israel following the Hamas attack has exceeded 700, according to the army. The Health Ministry says at least 2,315 people were injured and treated in Israeli hospitals. 23 people are in critical condition, 340 are in serious condition, and 449 are in moderate condition.
