US President Joe Biden will release his request for additional funding next week, including funds for Ukraine and Israel.
According to Reuters, this was reported by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. However, she did not disclose other details.
An agency source familiar with the matter previously said the Biden administration plans to ask Congress for more money for military aid to Israel after Saturday's attack by Hamas militants and to Ukraine, which has been fighting Russian occupation for 20 months.
Some Republicans have said they will resist attempts to tie aid to Israel to help from Ukraine. Any funding measure must be approved by the US Senate, led by Biden's fellow Democrats, and the Republican-controlled House, which faces a leadership crisis that prevents it from approving any -measures,” the journalists noted.
