The General Consul of Ukraine, Irina Shum, recently made a meaningful contribution to the Stadtbüchereien Düsseldorf, a library in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany. As part of the "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children" campaign, a new collection of Ukrainian books was handed over to the library, aiming to popularize Ukrainian literature and culture among children.

The Ukrainian Consulate in Düsseldorf shared this generous gesture on their official Facebook page. The library warmly welcomed this contribution, which seeks to enrich its collection with Ukrainian language books and promote Ukrainian culture among the younger generation.

The General Consulate expressed sincere gratitude to the State Committee of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine for providing Ukrainian textbooks, educational materials, and literary works to the children of Ukrainian refugees free of charge. This support plays a crucial role in ensuring that Ukrainian children have access to educational resources, even in foreign countries.

"These books will undoubtedly enrich the library's collection, offering readers an excellent opportunity to explore the world of Ukrainian literature. We encourage our children to experience the joy of reading," emphasized the General Consulate in their Facebook post.

It's worth noting that, as part of the "Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children" campaign, over 800,000 books have been distributed within Ukraine and beyond, further strengthening the connection between Ukrainian culture and children worldwide.
