In a remarkable feat of space technology, China achieved yet another milestone by launching a new meteorological satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Long March-2D rocket, carrying the Yunhai-1 04 satellite, lifted off at 8:54 AM local time, successfully placing the spacecraft into its designated orbit.
The newly launched satellite, part of the Yunhai series, is primarily intended for monitoring atmospheric conditions, Earth's water bodies, and the space environment. It will also play a crucial role in predicting and mitigating natural disasters, as well as conducting scientific experiments.
Today's launch marked the 491st flight of the Long March rocket series, reaffirming China's commitment to advancing its space capabilities.
