Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently discussed the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland in the aftermath of the Polish parliamentary elections. During a national telethon, he expressed his conviction that the deep-rooted nature of their strategic relations would remain unshaken despite political changes in Poland.
Kuleba pointed out that discussions concerning the potential revision of Ukraine's arms supply from Poland were abruptly halted when some individuals realized the sensitive nature of the topic. He also stressed the importance of Ukraine's relationships with other neighboring countries, particularly Romania, which plays a pivotal role in supporting Ukraine militarily. Consequently, he suggested that any emotional reactions during the election campaign should be left behind.
Kuleba underlined the irreplaceable nature of the strategic partnership between Poland and Ukraine. He asserted that both countries are interdependent and indispensable to each other in the current global landscape. Regardless of political configurations in either country, he expressed confidence that their strategic alliance would endure.
The head of Ukraine's diplomatic service also noted that the formation of a coalition and a new government in Poland is a separate matter from the enduring strategic cooperation between the two nations.
