Ukrainian defense forces have killed and wounded almost 900 Russian invaders near Avdiivka over the past 24 hours.
“Over the past 24 hours, 90 military clashes took place,” says the operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the social network Facebook.
In particular, in the area of responsibility of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Khortitsa" in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 30 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Ivanovka in the Kharkov region, as well as 12 attacks near Nadezhda in the Lugansk region.
Also, in the Liman direction, the defense forces did not allow the loss of positions in the Makeevka area of the Lugansk region.
At the same time, in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position in the Kleshchievka area of the Donetsk region. In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions on the achieved lines.
At the same time, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria OSV in the Avdeevka direction, the enemy has resumed offensive operations and is not abandoning attempts to encircle Avdeevka. Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the defense, inflicting numerous losses on the enemy. Thus, over the past 24 hours, the enemy’s losses amounted to: almost 900 occupiers were killed and wounded, almost 50 tanks and more than 100 enemy armored vehicles were destroyed and damaged. Also, the enemy’s offensive actions in the Novokalinovye, Stepnoye and Northern Donetsk regions were unsuccessful.
In addition, in the Maryinsky direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region. In this area, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed enemy attacks in the Zolotaya Niva and Staromayorsky districts of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporozhye direction, Ukrainian defenders did not allow the loss of positions in the Verbovoye area of the Zaporozhye region.
In addition, in the area of responsibility of the OSUV "Odessa" in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire damage on the enemy's rear.
“The Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line,” the report says.
