TikTok, the renowned platform for sharing short, engaging videos, is making strides in the world of content creation by experimenting with longer video uploads. In a bid to enhance the user experience, TikTok is testing the option to upload 15-minute videos, an expansion from its previous 10-minute limit. This exciting development aims to provide content creators with more room to express themselves and share a broader range of content, such as cooking tutorials, beauty lessons, educational material, or comedic sketches.

Until now, if a video exceeded the 10-minute mark, creators had to split their content into multiple parts. With this extended time limit, content creators will no longer need to create an entire series of videos to share their content effectively.

This change positions TikTok as a stronger rival to YouTube, as it attracts creators of longer-form content. Furthermore, TikTok is preparing to allow horizontal video uploads in fullscreen mode, a feature currently undergoing testing in selected regions. These innovations follow TikTok's prior move to increase the maximum video length from a mere 15 seconds to 60 seconds in February 2022.

As TikTok continues to evolve and diversify its features, it's becoming a versatile platform for both creators and viewers. The competition between TikTok and YouTube is heating up, offering users more options and a richer content experience. Stay tuned for further updates on TikTok's ongoing developments.
