Ukrainian saboteurs landed near Podstepne (20 km east of Kherson and 3 km from the Dnieper) and captured a section of the road that connects the villages of Poyma, Cossack Camps and Krynki in the Kherson region.
Analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War reported this with reference to Russian military bloggers. According to them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have transferred reserves to the islands in the Dnieper delta and are trying to break through to the villages of Poima and Peschanovka.
It is noted that Ukrainian forces allegedly continue to transport small groups of personnel across the Dnieper by boat at various points. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country claims that Ukrainian forces tried to seize positions on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River, but it was “unsuccessful.”
At the same time, it is indicated that the Defense Forces still control part of Krynoki and hold positions near the Antonovskoe highway and the railway bridge.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops continued their counter-offensive in the east and south of Ukraine and advanced south of Bakhmut and to the west of the Zaporozhye region. According to geolocation footage published on October 23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced east of Andreevka (10 km southwest of Bakhmut), while data published on October 24 indicates that Ukrainian defenders have advanced slightly west of Rabotyn. The General Staff confirmed on October 24 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were advancing south of Bakhmut and achieved partial success near Rabotin.
