Google has made a significant move in the field of artificial intelligence by investing nearly $2 billion in the startup Anthropic. This company, founded by former executives of OpenAI, is known for its development of Claude 2, a chat-bot that rivals OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Claude 2 stands out with its ability to process text up to 75,000 words, nearly the length of a book. Users can input large datasets and request summaries in the form of notes, emails, or narratives.

In comparison, ChatGPT is currently capable of handling around 3000 words. This strategic investment by Google showcases the growing competition and innovation within the AI landscape.

Anthropic, established in 2021, quickly gained traction and was valued at $4.1 billion earlier this year. With this substantial funding from Google, the startup is poised to further push the boundaries of AI capabilities and potentially disrupt the current market.
