National Guard Major, Chief of Artillery Staff of the 4th Rubezh Brigade Denis Nagorny spoke about the latest events from the Bakhmut direction.
On the Espresso TV channel, Nagorny noted that the occupiers continue to throw “cannon fodder” at the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.
“In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is carrying out “meat assaults,” but the Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding the defense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are not retreating a meter and are moving forward. The enemy has become more cunning and persistent. The enemy’s military-industrial complex has grown significantly. The Russians are turning mothballed tanks into serviceable equipment and are sent to the front, which makes it much more difficult for the Defense Forces to carry out assault operations,” Nagorny said.
According to the NSU major, in the Bakhmut direction the Russians are increasing the pace of their offensive.
“We will hold our positions until victory, until we reach the borders of Ukraine in 1991. The situation in the Bakhmut direction is controlled, but the enemy is resorting to counter-offensive actions,” the military man added.
