Effective from November 1, the Ukrainian Literary Corner was inaugurated by Ambassador Larisa Heraskevych in collaboration with NLI Director Audrey Whitty and the Director of the Irish National Agency for Literature, Sinead Mac Eada. The ceremony marked the official launch of the collection, showcasing Ukrainian literary works to the Irish and international public.
The Ukrainian Embassy expressed its gratitude to the entire team at the National Library of Ireland for their collaboration and support in making the "Ukrainian Literary Corner" of First Lady Olena Zelenska's initiative a reality. This project is a testament to the strong cultural ties and friendly relations between the two nations.
This marks the second Ukrainian literary corner in Ireland, with the first one having been established in early October at the City Library in Limerick, demonstrating the growing interest in Ukrainian literature and culture across the country. The expansion of such initiatives can significantly contribute to enhancing cultural understanding and cooperation between Ukraine and Ireland, further strengthening the bonds of friendship.
