The latest statements by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, his article for The Economist, are a guide to action for the West, said military expert Oleg Zhdanov.
In his opinion, the West is not tired of the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine, and Zaluzhny’s article is “more of a cold shower for the West.”
“This suggests that all their plans, the amount of assistance do not correspond to reality, everything must be reviewed and much more assistance must be urgently given in order to achieve victory. And the West can no longer get tired of us. Neither politically nor physically. They "They made a bet. It's not for nothing that the United States says that Putin cannot be allowed to win this war. In Europe they say the same thing. The bridges have been burned, they are not going anywhere," the expert noted.
Zhdanov admitted that if assistance were stopped, Ukraine could lose and temporarily lose part of its territories, but the West would suffer a “complete fiasco.” After this, Ukraine will need to “put the country on a war footing, we need to prepare the army,” Zhdanov believes.
“And the West will have a complete fiasco. Especially politically, because Putin, with his fingers outstretched, will begin to dictate his terms. That’s why they cannot get tired of us,” the expert is sure.
