According to the results of currency interventions conducted from October 30 to November 3, the National Bank of Ukraine sold $563.45 million on the interbank currency market and bought $0.65 million. This action is part of NBU's ongoing efforts to maintain exchange rate stability.
Since the beginning of 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine has sold $23.177 billion and bought $210.62 million on the interbank market. Notably, in 2022, NBU sold $26.38 billion and €1.789 billion, while buying $3.27 billion and €110.97 million.
From October 3, the National Bank of Ukraine transitioned to a managed floating exchange rate regime. However, it's important to note that the NBU doesn't allow the exchange rate to float freely; the regulator continues to monitor the situation on the interbank currency market.
The fixed exchange rate of 36.5686 hryvnias per dollar was in effect in Ukraine from late July 2022 until October 3, 2023.
