Yesterday, Russian troops focused on assaults in three directions - more than 60 of 78 clashes with the enemy during the day took place in the Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Kupyansky directions.
“Over the past 24 hours, 78 military clashes took place... in the zone of responsibility of the Tavriya command and control unit in the Avdeevka direction, the enemy does not abandon attempts to encircle Avdeevka. Our soldiers staunchly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy. The enemy’s offensive actions in the areas of Stepnoye settlements were unsuccessful. Avdeevka, Tonenkoye, Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled more than 20 attacks,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its morning report
The General Staff also informs that in the Maryinsky direction the enemy carried out more than 25 unsuccessful attacks in the Krasnohorivka and Maryinka areas of the Donetsk region.
“In the zone of responsibility of the OSV Khortitsa in the Kupyansky direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Ivanovka in the Kharkov region and Stelmakhovka in the Luhansk region, where our defenders repulsed about 20 enemy attacks,” the report further says.
At the same time, in the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 5 enemy attacks near Bogdanovka and Khromovye, Donetsk region.
“The enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position in the Andreevka area. In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating on the achieved lines,” notes the General Staff.
In the Shakhtarsky and Zaporozhye directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromayorsky, Donetsk region; Krasny, Rabotinoy and north-west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region. Here our defenders repelled more than 10 attacks. In the Liman direction, the occupiers did not carry out assault operations.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
According to the General Staff, in the area of responsibility of the Odessa commando control unit in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire on the enemy’s rear.
In the area of responsibility of the OSUV "North" in the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
In the Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas and carries out active sabotage activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.
