In a heartwarming gesture, Ukraine's top tennis player, Elina Svitolina, made a visit to the town of Irpin to inspect the ongoing reconstruction of the "Muenhausen" residential complex. Elina Svitolina's presence not only shed light on the progress of the reconstruction but also brought hope to the affected residents.
Svitolina expressed her emotions, saying, "When I came here in February, my heart was broken. The building stood charred and severely damaged. Today, I am delighted to see the transformation of its façade and to hear that some families have already returned to their homes."
Elina Svitolina, known for her exceptional tennis skills, also displayed her altruistic side by actively participating in the fundraising efforts for the reconstruction of the housing complex. Thanks to the collective efforts of donors on the UNITED24 platform, a total of $127,000 was raised, with a generous contribution from Svitolina and other platform participants.
As part of her humanitarian work, the Ukrainian tennis star, along with the renowned film director Michel Hazanavicius, took on the patronage of building two houses in Irpin, further exemplifying their commitment to the city's revitalization.
