UkrGasExtraction has successfully tapped into a promising deposit within the Mesozoic gas-bearing complex in the Carpathians, challenging the belief that the region had exhausted its resources. During the testing of an exploratory well, an impressive gas influx exceeding 200,000 cubic meters per day was recorded, marking the highest indicator of natural gas flow in the western region's deposits over the last two decades.

The newly drilled well, reaching a depth of 1.6 kilometers, aimed at exploring the supposedly depleted reservoir. Prior to drilling, experts conducted 3D seismic surveys, revealing new insights into the reservoir. These surveys identified several productive horizons, expanding the drilling prospects for additional wells.

Currently, LvivGasExtraction experts are actively working on enhancing the technological capabilities of surface infrastructure to boost the well's productivity.

In line with their digitization program, UkrGasExtraction has integrated over 630 wells into a unified monitoring system since 2020, showcasing their commitment to technological advancements in the field.
