The premiere screening of the documentary film "Monastyrsky's Diary" unfolded in Kyiv, showcasing exclusive footage from the personal archives of Ukraine's late Minister of Internal Affairs. Unconventional Insights into a Minister's Life

Humanizing a Public Figure
The film aimed to portray Monastyrsky not merely as a high-ranking official but as a person who grappled with life's profound questions, including the perception and handling of death. Rather than evoking sorrow, the film sought to celebrate Monastyrsky's charismatic persona and distinctive worldview.

Personal Narratives and Public Service
Lesya Chervinska, an advisor to Denis Monastyrsky, emphasized the film's focus on revealing his deep love for Ukraine, its history, and its people. The documentary delves into Monastyrsky's personal attributes and his dedication to his role in public service.

National Broadcast
Following its premiere, the film is set to be aired on the national television channel "1+1 Ukraine" on November 17. Later, it will be available on YouTube for a wider audience.

Art Exhibition Tribute
Additionally, an exhibition titled "Interrupted Flight," featuring the work of military photographer Lieutenant Mykola Anatsky, who accompanied Denis Monastyrsky and tragically perished with him in the helicopter crash, was presented at the cinema foyer.

Tragic Aviation Mishap
Recalling the helicopter crash in Brovary on January 18, where the helicopter carrying the Ministry of Internal Affairs leadership, including Denis Monastyrsky, crashed, resulting in the loss of 14 lives, including all passengers and crew members.
