A mobilized Russian from Buryatia faked his own death so as not to return to the war in Ukraine. His wife often talked about suicide and was afraid that her husband would die, like their son. The Baza Telegram channel reports this.

It is noted that the Arabzhaev family faced difficult trials: in September 2022, the eldest son died in an accident, and in November the head of the family, Zorigto, was mobilized. My wife was constantly worried and talked about suicide.

“On March 2, Zorigto was given leave, he was supposed to spend 10 days with his loved ones and return to duty, but he disappeared. At the end of April, the military police began to look for him: they came to Arabzhaev’s house, the youngest son opened the door. He showed them his father’s death certificate - the document said that Zorigto Arabzhaev died on March 7, 2023. The employees photographed the paper and left,” the message says.

According to media reports, the document was carefully studied and it turned out to be fake. Zorigto bought the death certificate from an unknown person in order to stay close to his wife. Later, the military visited Arabzhaev again and on May 4 found the man at home.

On November 2, the Ulan-Uden Garrison Military Court sentenced a man to 5 years in a maximum security colony for desertion.
