At the Food Security Summit in Kyiv, Swiss President Alain Berset announced Switzerland's contribution of 3 million francs (over 3 million euros) to the World Food Programme for the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative. The initiative aims to provide assistance to those impacted by the ongoing conflict, with approximately 11 million people in Ukraine relying on food aid.
Support from Other Countries: The second summit of the Ukrainian humanitarian initiative "Grain from Ukraine" took place in Kyiv on November 25, endorsed by President Ukraine. A joint statement was adopted, garnering support from 23 countries. Sweden's government also pledged over 8.7 million euros in support of the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative.
Additional Support from Finland: Finland announced an additional 3 million euros to enhance food security in Ukraine. These funds will be directed towards supporting grain exports and aiding in demining efforts in rural areas. Lithuania's Commitment: As part of the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative, Lithuania will allocate 2 million euros by the end of the year. Furthermore, Lithuania is prepared to enhance transit capacities in Baltic ports for Ukrainian exports.
