1. New Service for Ukrainians in Bratislava: Restoration of Driver's Licenses in Slovakia
According to the press service of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the state-owned enterprise "Document" is launching a service for the restoration of driver's licenses in Bratislava, Slovakia. This new service is aimed at assisting Ukrainian citizens who have lost or had their driver's licenses stolen.
Now, fellow citizens can restore their driving privileges in Bratislava by visiting the Passport Service located at Nivy shopping center, 1st floor, bus station (Mlynské nivy 5A, 821 09). This significant development, providing new opportunities for Ukrainian drivers, has been officially announced.
2. Operating Hours and Service Features
According to information from the Main Service Center operating in Bratislava, the driver's license restoration service is available on the following days and hours: Tuesday-Friday: 10:00-17:00, Saturday: 10:00-15:30. Sunday and Monday are designated as days off.
The institution noted that previously, Ukrainian drivers in Slovakia could only exchange their driver's licenses, and now there is an option to restore lost or stolen documents.
3. Mobile Service Points and Electronic Queue
Specially equipped white minibuses with "Passport Service" symbols are utilized to serve citizens. People can choose between a personal or electronic queue, making the process more convenient and adapted to modern technologies.
4. Documents and Restoration Process
To restore a driver's license, a document package must be prepared, including the passport of a Ukrainian citizen with the registered place of residence indicated. In case the passport is in the format of an ID-card without residence information, an extract on the registration of the person's place of residence or a foreign passport must be provided. Additionally, a document confirming the change of personal data (e.g., a marriage certificate) is required in case of any changes, along with a medical certificate (not required during martial law).
5. Efficiency and Availability in Other Countries
Apart from Slovakia, the exchange and renewal of driver's licenses for Ukrainian citizens are also available in countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Turkey. This reflects the Ukrainian government's commitment to providing convenience and support to its citizens abroad.
All these measures are aimed at improving services and ensuring that Ukrainians abroad have access to the necessary assistance, making their stay in other countries more comfortable and carefree.
