In this unique calendar, Martin Jakub features iconic figures such as Myroslava Sopilka, Liadya Mohylianska, Mike Johansen, Volodymyr Svidzinsky, Valerian Pidmohylny, Myroslav Irchan, Hryhoriy Kosynka, Mykola Zerov, Mykhailo Semenko, Mykola Khvylovy, Geo Shkurupiy, and Valerian Polishchuk. Each month highlights a writer alongside a carefully selected fragment of their poetry tailored to the season.
Jakub created the authors' portraits from the "Executed Renaissance" era using artificial intelligence. The calendar employs the "Yermilov" font, designed by Kirilo Tkachov based on the graphic works of the period's artist, Vasyl Yermilov.
According to Jakub, half of the thousand copies ordered from the printing press have already been sold, with international demand from Austria, Germany, the United States, and Canada. All proceeds from the calendar will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The writer anticipates the calendar's release in mid-December. In the Zhytomyr Regional Literary Museum, an exhibition titled "Living 'Executed': Portraits of the Executed Renaissance Authors" features the AI-generated photos created by Martin Jakub.
