Ukrainian soldiers at the front faced an infestation of rodents. Because of this, cats “unexpectedly had their own mission in the war,” writes Bild.
A large number of videos have appeared on the Internet in which Ukrainian soldiers show how mice, rats and even snakes scatter in the trenches. They interfere with sleep, and also gnaw everything that gets in their way. Russian invaders face a similar problem.
Volunteers are collecting money to fight rodents at the front. Meanwhile, some military personnel decided to take cats as their assistants.
“The cute cat Syrsky, for example, became a star on social networks. At least one of the velvet paws was even honored by the soldiers. The cat Shaibik received an order for the help he provided to the brigade and the military,” the journalists add.
