In the aftermath of a powerful storm in the Black Sea, not only did the Crimean Bridge suffer damage, but defensive structures in Crimea also took a hit. Russian authorities are now racing against time to fix the unlawful construction of the Crimean Bridge, fearing potential actions by Ukrainian security forces.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine's representative, Andriy Yusov, revealed this information during a telethon. He emphasized the valid concerns of the enemy, stating, "Of course, the enemy is rightly afraid that Ukrainian security and defense forces will exploit this situation. We won't reveal all the secrets, but their internal deadline is to rectify these deficiencies within two weeks. Clearly, Ukraine will not wait around."
Yusov also pointed out that the storm caused significant damage not only to the bridge but also to hostile so-called defensive structures in Sevastopol. "We're not just talking about the bridge. Serious damage has also been inflicted on the enemy's so-called defensive structures in Sevastopol," he noted.
The inclement weather also disrupted the plans of the hostile Black Sea Fleet, Yusov added. "The ships of the aggressor state currently do not feel safe, and as a result, some of them, including, are currently anchored. The weather has certainly thrown a wrench into their plans," said the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
As previously reported by UNIAN, a few days ago, the temporarily occupied Crimea was hit by a powerful storm. Tamila Tasheva, the President's representative in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, stated that the bridge "suffered from a natural disaster."
Satellite images published by analyst MT_Anderson show that most barges in front of the bridge were either washed away or submerged due to the bad weather. Three barges are completely submerged, one partially, while two were entirely washed away. One barge remains afloat but is not anchored to anything.
