Due to the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border, the state budget of Ukraine lost UAH 9.3 billion in November. This was announced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev, during a telethon.
“Undoubtedly, this is a powerful blow to both our economy and our exports. Let’s take the Yagodin checkpoint, which before the strike allowed 1,300 cars per day through, and now lets through 150. We have a 40% decrease in exports through the corresponding land checkpoints. We We have a statement from carriers about losses of 400 million euros in just the first two weeks of this blockade,” he said.
According to the deputy, the State Budget, as of November, lost 9.3 billion UAH from the shortfall in customs payments - the money that the army did not receive.
Getmantsev also noted that the underfulfillment of the customs plan today is 19%, despite the fact that in October the customs exceeded the revenue plan.
“We will decide in a different way, but I believe that the governments of these countries should not wait until the situation becomes critical. They must understand that this situation is hitting them. By weakening Ukraine, they strengthen our common enemy and, in fact, lead to so that it hits their own economies more powerfully,” Getmantsev said.
“Given that the blocking is carried out by marginal political forces, which certainly do not represent the majority in these countries, I am convinced that against this background there is no need to play politics, but we must comply with the European law, which allows the free movement of vehicles throughout the EU ", the deputy emphasized.
