Employment Services in Kyiv Offer Veterans Job Placement, Training, and Grant Programs

Extensive Support for Veterans
The Kyiv City Employment Center is taking proactive measures to assist war veterans and their families in reintegrating into civilian life. Through a range of services encompassing job placement, training initiatives, and involvement in grant programs, the center aims to facilitate their smooth transition and reentry into the workforce.
Job Placement Opportunities
Veterans are being provided with various avenues to seek employment, including temporary or public work participation, professional training, retraining, or skills enhancement. Additionally, they can obtain vouchers for education and access unemployment benefits if eligible, emphasizing the center's commitment to supporting their employment needs.
Priority Services for Service Participants
Former military personnel mobilized during wartime, upon their release from service, are entitled to priority access to employment services. This specialized assistance underscores the center's dedication to assisting individuals with military backgrounds in securing suitable employment.
Grant Programs and Entrepreneurship
The Employment Center highlights governmental grant programs such as "Own Business" and "Grants for Veterans," enabling war veterans, war-disabled individuals, and their families to venture into entrepreneurship. These grants serve as crucial financial support for initiating and nurturing their own businesses.
Educational Empowerment
Veterans equipped with education vouchers can further their educational pursuits, courtesy of the State Social Insurance Fund for Unemployment's approved list of professions and specialties. Applications for these vouchers can be submitted online or in-person through the employment center.
Ongoing Support Initiatives
A new government initiative has been launched, allowing war participants and war-disabled individuals to undergo professional training, retraining, or skills enhancement for free. The program offers various licensed professions and enhancement programs, available both through traditional and distance learning methods.
Comprehensive Learning Facilities
Participants in these educational programs receive accommodation and travel compensation, particularly those with disabilities, upon completion of the training. Successful participants receive nationally recognized certificates, endorsing their acquired qualifications.
Uptake of Services
Since the beginning of 2023, 177 war participants have utilized the services of the Kyiv City Employment Center. Additionally, 22 program participants, including war participants and their families, have successfully availed themselves of the "Grants for Veterans" program, while six veterans have acquired education vouchers.
This initiative by the Kyiv City Employment Center stands as a testament to the commitment towards aiding veterans' reintegration into civilian life and fostering their professional and entrepreneurial endeavors.
