Ukrainian Player Eyed as Potential Replacement for Cigankov by Girona

Girona, currently contemplating future squad changes, has turned its attention to Ilya Kvasnytsia, a 20-year-old winger from the Ukrainian national youth team and FC Lviv's "Rukh." This interest arises amid speculation surrounding the possible departure of Victor Cigankov from the club.
According to Ukrainian journalist Viktor Vatsko, both Girona and Valencia have been closely monitoring Kvasnytsia's performances. Vatsko hinted at Girona's serious intentions regarding Kvasnytsia, considering him a potential successor to Cigankov should the latter leave the club.
In the current season, Ilya Kvasnytsia showcased his talent in 18 matches for FC Lviv's "Rukh," netting six goals and providing five assists. Additionally, he contributed to the Ukrainian youth team's endeavors, participating in six games, scoring twice, and assisting once.
Transfermarkt evaluates the Ukrainian midfielder at €400,000, reflecting his potential and current performance.
Notably, Girona already boasts the presence of two Ukrainian national team representatives, Victor Cigankov and Artem Dovbyk, both delivering commendable performances. Dovbyk has marked his season with 15 appearances, seven goals, and six assists, while Cigankov recorded three goals and two assists in 14 games.
