Encouraging Technological Innovation
Four winners of the Open Datathon reUkraine, a national competition focusing on technological projects utilizing open data to aid in Ukraine's reconstruction, are slated to receive grants of ₴1.1 million each for the advancement of their projects. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Digital Transformation via their Telegram press service.
Purposeful Projects
The competition showcased projects leveraging open data to contribute to the reconstruction efforts and combat corruption. The most promising solutions were granted ₴1.1 million each for the implementation and further development of their ideas.
Diverse Winning Solutions
Among the triumphant projects were "Opendatabot," a service providing access to public registries for citizens and businesses, "Accessible!" by the Ukrainian Center for Social Data, aiding in the search for barrier-free locations, "Budu Mamoju," a chatbot developed by the "Liki Kontrol" team, and Clarity Project’s analytical dashboard system — Clarity Hromada.
Recognition and Support
The judging panel also acknowledged and offered mentorship to the Address Forever project team, focused on combating corruption in the funeral services sector.
Timely Implementation
The teams are expected to implement their solutions within 100 days, contributing to the country's development and combating corrupt practices and schemes.
Collaborative Efforts
The competition was organized jointly by the USAID/UK Aid project "Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services (TAPAS)" and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The project was supported by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
Previous Grants
In a previous acceleration program, Open Data. Unbroken, three projects were awarded grants of ₴400,000 each for their implementation.
