Transfer of longer-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine: the US made a statement

The administration of the United States of America is considering the possibility of providing Ukraine with longer-range ATACMS missiles. This statement was made during a telephone briefing by US National Security Council coordinator John Kirby.
“We have already provided Ukraine with a version of ATACMS missiles, known as APAM (anti-infantry and materiel missiles – ed.), and they have used them to good effect,” he was quoted as saying by Ukrinform.
Kirby emphasized that the issue of equipping the Ukrainian Defense Forces with ATACMS missiles with an increased destruction range has never been taken off the table.
"This is still an integral part of the discussions that we are having with the Ukrainian side. Ukraine does have such capabilities, and other countries have provided it with similar long-range weapons. Therefore, we are still discussing with the Ukrainians regarding a longer-range version of ATACMS," - said the coordinator of the US National Security Council.
