The elite 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces was defeated in the Ugledar direction, Politico reports.
"A large number of enemy manpower, including command personnel, were destroyed near Ugledar and Maryinka, Donetsk region. In addition, over the past week, the enemy has lost about 130 pieces of equipment, including 36 tanks," said Aleksey Dmitrashkovsky, spokesman for the Tauride Defense Forces. .
According to Dmitrashkovsky, Russian troops were losing between 150 and 300 marines a day near Ugledar.
The 155th brigade had to be understaffed three times already. The first time after Irpen and Bucha; the second time they were defeated near Donetsk - they recovered again. And now almost the entire brigade has already been destroyed near Ugledar, Dmitrashkovsky added.
However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in no hurry to celebrate the victory, as Russian troops continue to storm the Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Avdiivka and Bakhmut.
“I would like our partners to receive weapons faster, as this would give us the opportunity not only to defend ourselves and deter attacks, but also to finally push them out of our territory,” Dmitrashkovsky said.
