The Museum of Pysanka Painting in Kolomyia, Ukraine, recently received a remarkable donation of five intricately designed Easter eggs made from shells. These one-of-a-kind creations were generously presented to the museum by the creative collective "Ponad."

The five artists behind these exceptional pieces - Olya Salo-Slipenka, Roman Chizz, Sergiy Mirchuk, Mari Kinovych, and Rustem Skybin - dedicated each egg to Ukrainian territories that are currently under temporary occupation, including Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions.

The artists meticulously incorporated ancient symbols and ornaments, crafting compositions that resonate with the unique cultural heritage of each region. Visitors to the museum will soon have the opportunity to admire these symbolic Easter eggs, each telling a profound story of resilience and Ukrainian identity.

These extraordinary Easter eggs, crafted from spent shell casings, are a symbol of hope and solidarity. In total, 47 such eggs were created from shell casings that were sold at charity auctions during the Easter holidays. These auctions, organized by the creative group "Ponad," successfully raised over 320,000 US dollars, which were subsequently directed to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It's worth noting that last year, the Museum of Pysanka Painting added another remarkable item to its collection: an Easter egg crafted from the remains of an enemy missile that miraculously survived an impact at Kolomyia Airport on February 24. This extraordinary gift was presented to the museum by the Ukrainian military, showcasing the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people.
